According to the Lansbury family, she “died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Los Angeles at 1:30 a.m. today.” Lansbury’s death comes just five days before her 97th birthday. The family’s full statement read: “The children of Mrs. Angela Lansbury are saddened to announce that their mother passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Los Angeles at 1:30 a.m. this Tuesday, October 11, 2022, just five days after her birthday. 97. In addition to her three children, Anthony Deirdre and David, she has three grandchildren, Peter, Catherine and Ian, as well as five great-grandchildren and producer Edgar Lansbury’s brother, 53, Peter Shaw.
